Each week here on Inside Survivor we will be running a fan poll to determine the Player of the Week. Readers can vote for the player that impressed them the most with their strategic gameplay, social skills, and overall performance. The poll will close on the following Wednesday.

In the sixth episode of Survivor 41, we saw the elimination of… nobody. This “merge” episode will be split over two weeks, and therefore did not include a Tribal Council. Instead, we saw a twist that divided the 12 remaining castaways into two teams, with one person being sent to Exile. However, we are still opening the Player of the Week poll for the episode.

Last week‘s winner was Shan with 529 Votes (46.57%). This mark’s Shan’s fourth win of the season and her third in a row.

WEEKLY RESULTS

Week 1: Shan
Week 2: Evvie
Week 3: Shan
Week 4: Shan
Week 5: Shan

  1. Why the hell is Erika being voted as Player of the Week?
She’s definitely without any alliance, isn’t officially part of the merge, got chosed to go 2 days to Exile, therefore has had no connection with other tribes… Even his tribe is gunning for her, and now has to take a decision in which short-term will be benefitiated (with immunity), but she’s completely screwed long-term.
Aaaand, she’s got into that power position not because of merit, but because of production’s twist.
It is not personal on her, I love her, she’s nice and likeable, buuuut, she doesn’t deserve player of the week…

  2. While I myself voted for Erika. I find it a sad state of affairs that the player of the week, really did nothing. There was no brilliant social maneuvering on their part, no ballsy (are we still allowed to say that?) idol play. Nothing other having the best advantage foisted on them by production. What has happened to the Survivor that I have loved (mostly) and watched religiously for the last 21 years?

  3. This is why I did not vote for Erika, she hasn’t actually done anything yet. Now, granted she’s gonna end up giving herself and the other five immunity next episode, but what happens if she “for some weird reason” doesn’t smash the hourglass? Does this mean we can rescind her Player of the Week because she made a boneheaded move?
