Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor-related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor 41.

Immunity Challenge – “Balance on the Line”

  • This challenge was previously used in Micronesia, Philippines, and Ghost Island.
    • All three players who have previously won this challenge (Amanda, Skupin, and Domenick) were in the Final 2 or 3 of their season.
    • Amanda is the only woman to win this challenge.
  • Danny won his first individual immunity challenge this episode.
  • Only 1 out of the 5 individual immunity challenges this season had all the merge tribe members competing against each other. Episode 10 is the only episode so far where everyone competed.
    • Episode 7: Only 6 players competed.
    • Episode 8: 4 players sat out to get extra rice.
    • Episode 9: The merge tribe was split.
    • Episode 10: All players competed in the immunity challenge.
    • Episode 11: Liana and Heather sat out to avoid the Do or Die twist.
  • DeShawn and Heather are the only players left who haven’t won individual immunity.

Twist/Advantages

  • Xander used his extra vote advantage to vote for Liana twice.
    • He’s the 8th person to use an extra vote advantage.
    • All three extra votes have been used this season.
      • Two out of three of the extra votes have been used on Yase members.
        • Deshawn used his in episode 7 against Evvie.
        • Xander used his this episode against Liana.
    • Xander’s idol is the only advantage left in the game at this point.
  • This season has the record for most extra votes used with 3.
  • Shan is the only person this season to use her extra vote on two separate people.
  • This is the first season with multiple extra vote advantages where all of them were used.
    • Ghost Island had two; Sebastian never used his while Kellyn did.
    • Edge of Extinction had three; Ron and Aubry didn’t use theirs, while Gavin used the one he got from Aurora.
  • Deshawn is the first player to take part in the “Do or Die” twist.
    • He chose the correct box and ended up being safe from the vote.
  • All three of the new game-changing twists introduced this season were used/ participated in by Luvu members.
    • Shot in the Dark die: Sydney is the only one to use it this season.
    • Turn Back Time hourglass: Erika was given this on Exile Island.
    • Do or Die: Deshawn came in last in the immunity challenge and had to participate in the Do or Die twist.

Confessionals

  • Ricard and Xander had the most confessionals with 4.
  • Heather once again had 0 confessionals.
  • With 20 confessionals, this episode has the lowest confessional count so far this season.
  • Xander and Deshawn are tied for most confessionals for players left in the game with 36.
    • Shan is still in the lead for confessionals with 51.

Tribal Council

  • Liana was voted out 5-3.
  • Xander is the last Yase member left in the game.
    • Xander is the only Yase member that Liana didn’t vote out.
    • Ricard successfully voted out every member of Ua.
  • Liana is the 29th person voted out on day 21.
    • The most recent person voted out on day 21 was Wendell Holland in Winners at War.
    • The first person voted out on day 21 was Gretchen Cordy in Borneo.
    • In the stretch of seasons from Borneo to Gabon, there was always a tribal council on day 21.
  • Erika and Heather still have perfect voting records.
  • The only women left in the game are original Luvu members.
  • Luvu is the only starting tribe with multiple members remaining.
    • Coincidentally, all of the remaining Luvu members make up the first four players alphabetically by first name (Danny, Deshawn, Erika, Heather), while Ricard from Ua and Xander from Yase end the alphabet.

  • The episode title “Do or Die” was said by Jeff Probst talking about the new Do or Die twist.
