CBS Announces Survivor 50 Premiere Date & Marathon of Classic Episodes

Survivor is celebrating its milestone 50th season with a supersized three-hour premiere and a two-week marathon of classic episodes featuring some of the all-star castaways returning for Survivor 50.

As announced by CBS on Monday (November 17), the highly anticipated Survivor 50 will premiere on Wednesday, February 25, at 8:00 pm ET on CBS. This first episode will be the longest premiere in history, airing for three hours between 8:00 and 11:00 pm ET.

But that’s not all! The landmark season will be preceded by two weeks of iconic Survivor episodes. Starting Monday, February 9, CBS will air 10 encore episodes from across the show’s 25-year history. These episodes will feature many of the 24 players set to return for Season 50.

As previously confirmed, Survivor 50 will include castaways spanning from Season 1 up to the currently airing Survivor 49. Among those returning to the beaches are multi-timers Cirie Fields, Ozzy Lusth, Coach Ben Wade, and Aubry Bracco, old-school favorites Colby Donaldson, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, and Jenna Lewis-Dougherty, and recent winners Dee Valladares and Kyle Fraser.

It’s not yet known which specific episodes will air as part of the two-week marathon. However, you can check out the schedule below, and let us know in the comments which old episodes you’d like to see.

  • Monday, Feb 9, and Tuesday, Feb 10 (8:00 – 9:00 pm)
  • Wednesday, Feb 11, and Thursday, Feb 12 (8:00 – 10:00 pm)
  • Friday, Feb 13, Monday, Feb 16, and Tuesday, Feb 17 (8:00 – 9:00 pm)
  • Wednesday, Feb 19, Thursday, Feb 20, and Friday, Feb 21 (8:00 – 9:30 pm)

  1. This is stupid in the sense that they are airing 1 episode of various seasons. This leads to a bunch of questions. Are they going to leave in the beginning/opening “previously on” segments (from the episodes/seasons that had/have it &/or the “next time” segments? Both of which are pointless. Also, since specific episodes have not been announced it seems kinda stupid to air episode 10 of season 5 then episode 3 of season 22 & episode 8 of season 2. I mean, why would somebody want to watch random episodes like that?
