The 44th season of Survivor recently wrapped up filming in Fiji’s Mamanuca Islands and will feature 18 new castaways divided into three tribes. As with Survivor 43, the season will last for 26 days.
Once again, there is no subtitle attached to the season relating to a theme or a location. The number of the season is the title—this will be the case going forward for future seasons, except for possible returnee seasons.
Survivor 44 is expected to air Wednesday nights at 8:00 PM starting in February/March 2023. An exact premiere date has not yet been announced. The Emmy-winning Jeff Probst will once again return as host.
Here is the previously released information on the Survivor 43 cast and tribe divisions. Survivor 43 will premiere Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 8:00 PM with a two-hour episode.

Not liking the 26 day format, we only see all the challenges and not much of anything else.
Go back to basics, don’t let all these immunitites and twists change the outcome of the winner.
I’d like to see it taken back to Season 1.
Wish they would go back to more days… 39 days was the best balance.. I remember truly seeing the final 4 looking savage on day 38.. Now they don’t look much different from day 1.
And please bring back the individual jury questions at FTC. We haven’t had a moment there since they changed it in GC… I LOVED the individual questions. The 3 part forum now is so boring .. Who else agrees?

Why is there a change in Carloyn Wingers picture now all of a sudden?
Does anyone know if Jaime Ruiz is Latina? Or just a married last name & only have a single Hispanic/Latino like in Season 41 with Richard Foye? Even though the Hispanic/Latino population in US according to 2020 & 2010 Census data are approximately 50% larger than Black/African American folks. And is Helen really going to be the only Asian contestant? So much for the Survivor diversity campaign.
They probably changed it due to finding a better picture; the one currently used.
