Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X

Episode 12 Stats

Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X.

Vote-out

  • Zeke was voted out 5-0.
    • Hannah received four votes that were negated by Adam playing his idol for her.
  • Everyone that voted against Hannah and Zeke in the previous episode voted the same way this episode with the exception of Will, who swapped from Hannah to Zeke.
    • Every time Zeke has received votes, David, Ken, and Adam were one of them.
    • Every time Hannah has received votes, Bret, Sunday and Jay were one of them.
  • This is the second episode in a row where Hannah and Zeke were the only people to receive votes.
    • It is also the second episode in a row with an unsuccessful idol play.

Confessionals

  • Will had the most confessionals in this episode with 7.
    • This is only two fewer confessionals than the total number he’s had up to this episode.
  • Bret and Sunday did not receive any confessionals this episode.

Hidden Immunity Idol

  • This season is tied with Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains with most idols played on someone who wasn’t the finder of the idol.
    • In HvV, Russell played an idol on Parvati, and Parvati played one on Sandra and one on Jerri.
    • In MvGX, Adam played an idol on Hannah, and David played one on Ken and one on Jessica.
  • Adam is the third player to play a hidden immunity idol on someone else at tribal council while holding individual immunity.
    • Ozzy played one on Whitney in Survivor: South Pacific.
    • Tyson gave one to Gervase to play on himself in Survivor: Blood vs. Water.
      • In all three cases, the person who got the idol played on them wouldn’t have gone home in that episode due to someone else receiving more votes.

Tribes

  • David is the only remaining post-swap Vanua member remaining.
    • Nobody from Ikabula has been eliminated post-merge so far.
  • There are 4 Millennials and 4 Gen Xers left.

Reward Challenges- “Rope-A-Dope.”

  • Everyone remaining has taken part in a reward.
    • Sunday is the only person to take part in every post-merge reward so far.
  • This challenge has previously been seen in Guatemala, Tocantins, Heroes vs. Villains, One World, and Philippines.
    • The only other time this was used as a Loved Ones reward challenge was in Survivor: One World.
  • The Final nine is the earliest a Loved Ones visit has taken place. *Survivor: Redemption Island technically had ten players, but four of those were inhabitants of Redemption Island.

Immunity Challenges- “Push Me, Pull You.”

  • This challenge was previously seen on Survivor: Nicaragua.
  • In five episodes, the individual immunity winner has been a different person each time.

Ratings

Title

  • The episode title “About to Have a Rumble” was said by Will when he saw Ken going to talk to Jay after their conversation about Ken being the target.

    • Joanna Ward – Amazon
      Morgan McDevitt – Guatemala
      Rita Verreos – Fiji
Courtney Yates & Candice Cody – Heroes vs. Villains
      Leif Manson – One World
      Michael Snow – Caramoan
      Erik Reichenbach – Caramoan (medevaced)
Wes Nale – San Juan Del Sur
Terry Dietz – Cambodia (left game due to his son’s medical emergency)
Caleb Reynolds – Kaoh Rong (medevaced)

Note: Lots of people from Redemption Island/South Pacific/Blood vs. Water got confessionals in their vote-out episodes, but not in the episode they lost a duel.

      • Didn’t Terry get one when he left?
And I think Yau-Man in FvF didn’t either (Saw that after posting the question)

        • Yes, I missed Yau-Man in FvF.
Also, I think Terry’s wasn’t counted in the confessional chart I saw due to it not being set up in the typical confessional fashion.

      • You missed :
        – Kim Powers (Africa)
        – Erin Collins (Thailand)
        – Yau-Man Chan (Micronesia)
        – Keith Tollefson (South Pacific, in the episode where he’s voted out)
        – Katie Collins (Blood vs. Water, in the episode where she’s rocked out)
        – and 3 people from Cook Islands: Cecilia Mansilla, Brad Virata, and Rebecca Borman, the latter’s last confessional being 3 episodes before her boot (!!!)
