Next week is the season finale, but before we can jump into that, we have to get through this week’s episode. Last week was another predictable episode where we knew that Laurel was never going to budge and flip on Dom or Wendell. Kellyn finally decided to try and make a move by getting one of the top dogs out, but at this point in the game, it’s almost too late.
According to a tweet from Donathan after last week’s episode, he said that Laurel wasn’t going to flip on Dom and Wendell, despite the edit we saw on TV. Laurel had two options: go the easy route to the Final 3, be the goat and have 0 chances at winning, or go a harder route with Kellyn, Chelsea and Angela, fight your way to the Final 3, and (more than likely) win. While everyone else is trying to win $1,000,000, Laurel is playing to get to final tribal with nothing to solidify her win. Donathan may have been able to build his resume more if he played that idol correctly and then made a move last week, but at this point, it’s too late to start making moves to build a resume.
Next time on Survivor…
The preview for this week’s episode started to show some crumbling within alliances. At this point, Kellyn and Angela are in trouble while Sebastian is still following through on his pre-game strategy and chilling on the beach being invisible. It looks like Donathan finally wants to break apart from Dom and Wendell and I couldn’t be more excited to see some action happen. Unfortunately, because Laurel doesn’t want to flip, it is a bit late for Donathan to make a move because he won’t have the numbers with just Kellyn and Angela.
In the preview, Donathan spots Dom taking something out of his pants and putting it in his bag. Dom does it in a way that looks pretty suspicious and almost obvious that it’s an idol. Donathan calls him out on it, which I think is a bad move on his part, but then we see Donathan go up to Kellyn and tell her that he wants to get Dom out. Further along in the preview, we see a three-way conversation between Dom, Laurel and Donathan and I’m going to predict that word got around that he was going to flip, so now Dom is outing him on it. How did word get around? Laurel probably snitched like she’s been doing all season.
Let’s say Donathan goes balls to the wall and actually goes after Dom, considering this is the Final 7 tribal and idols can only be used for three more tribals, I don’t see why Dom wouldn’t play it. Between Dom and Wendell, they both have an idol so they can spare one if needed. Donathan could get Kellyn and Angela to vote with him, but even then, he would need either Laurel or Sebastian to flip and vote with them. I think Sebastian and Laurel are wrapped so far around Dom and Wendell’s fingers that there is a 0% chance they will flip. So with that being said, I think Dom and Wendell are safe regardless going into this week.
Predictions
Who’s on the chopping block?
Even though Donathan is going to target Dom, I don’t think Dom will turn around and target Donathan. I think this week we could see the game come to an end for either Kellyn or someone irrelevant like Sebastian.
Who wins reward?
Looking at the Press Photos, there are three teams of two consisting of:
Team Orange: Sebastian and Kellyn
Team Green: Laurel and Donathan
Team Purple: Dom and Wendell
With Angela not getting picked. Out of these teams, I’m going to guess that Dom and Wendell put in the work and win.
Who goes to Ghost Island?
In the commercial preview around 00:02 seconds in, we see a short clip of Sebastian looking down at something that resembles Ghost Island where he can play for an advantage or idol. So based off of that clip, I’m going to guess he goes this week.
Who wins immunity?
It looks like Dom is a heavy target this week so I don’t think he wins immunity. When you check out the press photos, it looks like Sebastian and Wendell have the lead. I think based on the edits we are getting at this point in the game that we could see someone like Sebastian or Kellyn go. I’m going to lock in my prediction with Sebastian, especially if he goes to Ghost Island.
Will an Idol get played?
I feel like even if Donathan, Kellyn and Angela target Dom, they won’t be able to sway Laurel or Sebastian for a fourth vote. I think Dom will feel safe with his alliance enough to not play it.
Winner Prediction After Episode 12
I don’t even think I have to explain this anymore… Wendell.
Thanks again, everyone! Don’t forget to leave questions or comments in the comment section below so I can check them out!
