Deal or No Deal is returning, but with a twist, as contestants will take on the mysterious Banker on a remote private island, and a legendary Survivor castaway might be along for the ride.

According to Inside Survivor sources, five-time Survivor player ‘Boston’ Rob Mariano is rumored to be one of the 13 contestants taking part in the upcoming Deal or No Deal Island, set to air on NBC in 2024.

On Wednesday (September 27), it was announced that actor Joe Manganiello will host the upcoming spinoff series, which will see the 13 contestants travel to a private island for a season-long journey to earn significant financial rewards.

Set in a tropical paradise, the participants will face a series of exhilarating challenges, mind-bending dilemmas, and the classic game of Deal or No Deal. All the while, Manganiello will guide the gameplay, communicate the Banker’s offers, and assist the players through nail-biting decisions.

Several briefcases containing millions in prize money will be hidden throughout the island. In each episode, contestants must compete to seize the highest-value briefcase, granting them immunity and the power to pick another player to enter “The Temple,” where they must take on an intense game of Deal or No Deal.

Ultimately, the last player standing at the end of the season will confront the Banker and attempt to secure what could possibly be the biggest cash prize in Deal or No Deal history.

The show has been described as a mix between the original Deal or No Deal and Survivor, which could give Mariano an advantage over his fellow competitors. Mariano first appeared on Survivor in 2002 and has gone on to compete four more times, finishing as runner-up in 2004’s All-Stars and winning in 2011’s Redemption Island.

In addition to his appearances on Survivor, Mariano has also competed on two seasons of The Amazing Race, The Price is Right and has a recurring role on Secret Celebrity Renovation.
