Former WWE superstar John Morrison could be trading in bodyslams for blindsides as rumors suggest he is one of the competitors on the next season of Survivor.
Inside Survivor has recently learned that professional wrestler, real name John Hennigan, is one of the new castaways on season 37 of the long-running reality show. The 38-year-old currently wrestles for Impact Wrestling under the ring name Johnny Impact and for Lucha Underground as Johnny Mundo.
Hennigan earned himself a WWE developmental contract in 2002 after winning the reality-competition show Tough Enough, and he made his main roster debut on Monday Night Raw in 2004. The self-described “Shaman of Sexy” had a lengthy tenure in WWE, becoming a multiple time Intercontinental and Tag Team champion, before eventually parting ways with the company in 2011.
Outside of wrestling, Hennigan has appeared in a number of TV shows and movies, including cameo appearances in Shameless and GLOW, and of course, who could ever forget his role in Sharknado 5: Global Swarming?
The last time a professional wrestler appeared on Survivor was in 2007 when former WWE Diva Search winner Ashley Massaro competed on Survivor: China. Hennigan will be hoping to fare better than Massaro who was the second person voted off of the show.
Survivor season 37 recently wrapped up filming in Fiji’s Mamanuca Islands and is scheduled to air this fall on CBS.
Stay tuned to Inside Survivor for more updates in the coming weeks.

I still say his slow-mo pyrotechnics was the coolest WWE entrance ever.
What even… I would have never expected this haha
I saw him at an Indy show a month ago, so he’s not on the season that just finished filming.
He definitely is on the season which just finished filming. What date was the indie show?
YES! Watch out for his parkour skills to come alive during challenges.
It’s always nice to have a little (or a lot) sexy on Survivor!
Don`t know this guy, but I wish they would just cast regular people. I bet he “finds” an idol or an advantage in the first couple of episodes.
Alan from hvhvh didn’t “find” an idol or an advantage so your comment makes no sense

what makes John interesting as besides being strong, he is charismic and quite smart. He actually reminds me of Malcolm……he “could” win.
