  1. I have been watching old seasons from the first one. I am on season 19 right now. I really wish they would go back to the way it was before or at least bring back some things. I miss the family visits, I miss going on the rewards to unbelievable places all over the world with the players, I miss the different locations they would go every season and I miss the homage to all the players that the final players pay to the others at the end. But, more than anything the overabundance of advantages they have now is way too much. The hidden immunity idol and maybe one more thing is enough. With the shortened version you aren’t able to get to know the players as well and the twists and turns are so confusing I don’t really remember much about them, the people or the show. It’s just not the same survivor I fell in love with.

  2. I totally agree with the first comment. I too have been watching the old Survivor shows. I am on season 9 right now. They hadn’t even started using the hidden immunity idol at that time. They should stay with the 39 days and two tribes. Give the viewers time to get to know the players. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

  3. I agree with you Cathy. There was time for character development and I loved seeing the final 4 look like savages on the morning of day 36.

For me it’s the casting that has been lacking in the past few seasons. Where are the heroes? Where is the eye candy? Where are the villains? Everyone is just being too nice on the show. A little human drama, resentment, revenge, jealousy would make the show so much more interesting.
