CBS has officially announced the Survivor Second Chance air date. Survivor: Cambodia – Second Chance will debut on September 23 for a special 90-minute premiere.

Earlier today CBS revealed a full schedule of their fall primetime premiere dates. The 31st season of Survivor will premiere before the Big Brother 17 live finale at 8:00pm. Like Survivor: San Juan Del Sur and Survivor: Worlds Apart, the highly anticipated Second Chance edition of Survivor will debut with a 90-minute episode.

The season will see former one-time players return for a second shot. Last month viewers voted for the 20 castaways they wanted to see return out of a selected pool of 32. Filming is currently under-way in Cambodia, described as a “brutal” location, and is expected to wrap in early July. Cambodia was also home to the already filmed 32nd edition of Survivor which will air in February 2016: the theme and cast have been revealed by Inside Survivor.
