Survivor: Kaôh Rōng Power Rankings Round 6

Survivor: Kaôh Rōng is underway and so are the Inside Survivor Power Rankings. Each week, I (Martin “Redmond” Holmes) will test my mettle against Survivor veterans Jeff Varner and Kelley Wentworth.

In Round 5, Kelley and Martin tied for first place with 18 points each (10 bonus points for Neal finding the idol and 8 points for ranking Anna in 8th place). Jeff also gained 10 bonus points but only had Anna ranked in 3rd place, therefore giving him 13 points overall. Martin still currently leads overall with 68 points, Kelley follows closely behind with 63, and Jeff is still trailing with 40.

The Rules

Each week the three power rankers will create separate rankings based on least likely to most likely to be eliminated. The ranking of the player who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the three rankers will earn. For example, if Julia was voted out in Episode 6, Martin would receive 9 points, Kelley would receive 8 points and Jeff would receive 5 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the Survivor: Kaôh Rōng Power Rankings Champion.

If the player ranked in 1st place finds an idol you gain 10 points.
If the player ranked in last place isn’t eliminated but receives a vote(s) against them you gain 5 points.
If the player ranked in 1st place wins individual immunity you gain 10 points (post-merge).

1. Her edits are interesting. She started weak. She’ll finish strong. 1. He’s like the popular kid in school that everyone wants to be friends with. In Survivor, doesn’t get much better than that. 1. In the middle with an idol. These are the things Survivor dreams are made of.

2. Triple threat owning middle of the road like a yellow line. 2. Only took him one tribe swap and 24 hours to find his next Big Spoon. Cozy on up, Scot! 2. Strong and flexible like that tree Debbie was manhandling.

3. Packing an idol, making friends with people packing idols. 3. That idol clue might as well have had a bright neon sign above it flashing “RIGHT HERE!” 3. I liked him better when he was Caleb.

4. Lay low, watch, learn will benefit her. 4. The new Queen of Brains beach. Just sitting back and looking pretty. 4. He has an idol now but needs to get closer to people for less resistance.

5. Last week’s solitary confinement should endear her to the others. 5. Keep hiding the brains behind that bandana and you’ll go far. 5. I wanna play her on Dance Dance Revolution because I bet she always steps onto the wrong part of the mat.

6. Without Scot, he’ll need more than an idol to help him. 6. Great at protecting other people’s idols. 6. “How do you get men to do whatever you want without boobs?”

7. Some arrogance snuck out last week and that’s usually not good. 7. Haven’t we all learned that it’s never a good idea to put all your eggs in the women’s alliance basket? Time for Plan B (not the type you get at the pharmacy). 7. The Great Brain Robbery. Hands where I can see them and nobody gets hurt!

8. Perfect kind of player to kick off a pedestal post merge. 8. I don’t even have to explain why they rarely cast very young people on the show, because Julia did it for me. 8. I always knew she was a swinger. She jumped from Neal to Cydney, and now Cydney to Nick?

9. Fun to watch, but her aggression might have the strategy queen stepping on the wrong toes. 9. She was drooling over Cydney like a fresh basket of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits. 9.
NickPic NickPic NickPic
10. We finally got to hear what his voice sounds like. 10. Producers finally decided it was time to remind the audience that Nick is still on the show. 10. I liked him better when he didn’t speak.
PeterPic PeterPic JoePic
11. Rubbing people wrong. He’s in trouble. 11. What kind of things did Peter feel at his high school prom?! Maybe it’s better that we don’t know… 11. Not sure what is more likely to land him in trouble: the finger or the fighting.
JoePic JoePic PeterPic
12. Arrogant, bossy without any strong strategy. He’s doomed. 12. Might not have the personality, but at least he’s bringing the drama this week. 12. Looks like Joe will be giving him a different finger to look at this week.

Agree? Disagree? Let Jeff, Kelley, and Martin know on Twitter.

Martin is a 28-year-old writer from Hull, England represented by Berlin Associates. He graduated from the University of Hull in English and Creative Writing. But if you have found yourself on this website you probably know him better as “Redmond” – the Survivor spoiler.

Assuming the Joe – Peter fight is a red herring then Scot could be gone. Never trust a trailer.

  • Abc

Jeff is just bad at this. Julia too high ( although I hope she survives) and Scot and Neal too low.

    You won this round Martin.

Woop! I guess this is proving following Edgic helps? Still it’s close. Lot of season left!

Joe, I wish that you were about 40 years older. You might just “get it. ” Then I could really read this and comment here.
