Survivor: Kaôh Rōng Episode 10 – Stats and Figures

Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode.

Vote Out

  • The vote was 4-2-2, which is the same vote pattern at the final 8 in Worlds Apart.
  • Scot is the 10th person in Survivor history to be voted out with a hidden immunity idol in his possession.
    • He is the first person to be voted out with a hidden immunity idol given to him by someone else.
  • Joe and Michele are the only remaining castaways without any votes against them.
    • The only other two people to not have any votes against them this season are the two medevacs, Neal and Caleb.

Tribes

  • After tonight’s vote out, the former Beauty tribe members once again outnumber the rest of the people of the former tribes.
    • This is a huge difference from Survivor: Cagayan, in which the Beauty members were all voted out in a row at the merge (after Sarah’s boot) and became the first starting tribe to be completely voted out.

Reward Challenge– A Leg Up

  • Julia has won every single reward challenge this season.
    • Aubry, Cydney, and Joe have lost every challenge they’ve competed in post-merge.
  • All remaining members of the original Beauty tribe won their portion of the reward challenge.
  • This is the first time this challenge has been used as a reward challenge and not a Redemption Island duel.
  • Every time this challenge has taken place, a woman has won.
  • Tai has become the third person in Survivor history to receive an extra vote advantage.
    • Chronologically, he’s actually the second person to receive the advantage, because Kaôh Rōng filmed before Cambodia.
      • Dan won the advantage in Worlds Apart.
      • Stephen won the advantage [modified to a vote stealer] in Cambodia.

Immunity Challenge– This Much

  • This is a brand new challenge.
  • Two “pot” challenges were in this episode, which aired on 4/20 [a counterculture holiday for cannabis consumers].

Ratings

Other

  • The title of the episode “I’m Not Here To Make Good Friends” was said by Tai when talking about the possibility of betraying his alliance with Jason and Scot.

  1. Technically wasn’t James voted out with an idol given to him by Todd? Though it sure didn’t have that same delicious feeling as Scot going out with Jason’s.
