Vote-out
- Darnell Hamilton became the 14th male to be first boot. (There have been 19 females)
- Darnell became the 2nd postal worker to be first boot in a season.
- Diane Ogden, also a postal worker, was voted out first in Survivor: Africa.
- Darnell became the 2nd postal worker to be first boot in a season.
Tribal Council
- This is the first time that the first vote has been tied.
- It’s the 29th tie vote in Survivor history.
- Alecia is the second castaway to try and vote with the cap still on the pen after Fabio in Survivor: Nicaragua (thanks to commenter).
Tribes
- The 3 tribes are at the same beaches as the tribes in Survivor: Cambodia – Second Chance.
- ToTang aka Brawn is at Ankgor’s beach
- Chanloh aka Brains is at Ta Keo’s beach
- Gondol aka Beauty is at Bayon’s beach
- Gondol and Chanloh are the 19th yellow and blue tribes, respectively, while Totang is the 16th red tribe.
- In both BvBvB seasons, the Beauty tribe has never gone to tribal council first.
Challenge
- The immunity challenge “Wooden Ships” was a variation of the first immunity challenge used in Survivor: Guatemala “Paddle Battle”.
- Both times the challenge was used, a blue tribe won.
Ratings
- Survivor received 8.30 million viewers and 1.9/7 in the Adults 18-49 Rating/Share. This is down 0.6 from the Survivor: Cambodia premiere and 0.5 from the Survivor: Worlds Apart premiere in February 2015.
Other
- The title of the episode “I’m A Mental Giant” was said by Alecia Holden at tribal council.

Are you sure this is the first time someone trued to use the pen with the cap on? I remember it happening before/. I just can’t remember specifics. I think it might have been Angie from Survivor: Philippines.

I have to disagree with you about one thing: Alecia is NOT the first person who tried to write on a ballot with the cap still on. If you watch the videos on the CBS Youtube where they reveal the full voting confessionals, you’ll see that in Nicaragua, Fabio also did this at his first TC.
