Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: Island of the Idols.

Tribal Council

  • Vince was voted out 5-3-1.
    • He received votes in both tribal councils he attended.
  • Everyone voted out so far each has a total of 7 votes against them.
    • Ronnie & Molly were voted out with 7 votes
    • Vince got 2 votes at the first tribal council and was voted out with 5 this episode.
  • Vince is the first person voted out this season who isn’t from Massachusetts.
  • Aaron has been to tribal council twice and hasn’t voted correctly.
  • The four women who have voted twice on Lairo have perfect voting records.
    • Elizabeth only voted once due to losing her vote in the first episode.
      • This episode was Elizabeth’s first time voting for someone despite it being her second tribal council.
  • Both players named Vince were voted out pre-merge.
    • Vince Sly in Worlds Apart.
    • Vince Moua in Island of the Idols.
  • Vince is the first person this season to vote for someone who didn’t vote them out.
    • Ronnie voted for Vince.
    • Molly voted for Noura.
    • Vince voted for Tom, while Tom voted for Karishma.
  • Every vote so far had one person that didn’t vote with the larger groups.
    • Elizabeth lost her vote in episode 1.
    • Molly voted for Noura in episode 2.
    • Vince voted for Tom in episode 3.
  • Vince is the fourth LGBT+ player who was voted out in the third episode of a season, the others are as follows:
    • Mark “Papa Bear” Caruso in South Pacific.
    • Brice Johnston in Cagayan.
    • Jeremy Crawford in David vs. Goliath.
  • There was a voting triangle this episode.
    • Tom voted for Karishma.
    • Karishma voted for Vince.
    • Vince voted for Tom.
  • Vince has received a vote from every person on his starting tribe with the exception of Dean and Tom.
    • Despite him receiving votes at both tribal councils, nobody voted for him twice.
  • Every season filmed in Fiji has had a male as the third boot, except for Fiji (Sylvia Kwan) and Ghost Island (Morgan Ricke).

    • Redemption Island – Francesca & Matt from Ometepe, Russell from Zapatera.
      • If you’re taking Redemption Island into account, then the same thing applies, as Francesca and Kristina from Ometepe and Russell from Zapatera were eliminated.
    • Caramoan – Allie & Hope from Gota, Francesca from Bikal.
    • Millennials vs. Gen X – Rachel & Paul from Takali, Mari from Vanua.
    • Ghost Island – Stephanie G. & Jacob from Malolo, Morgan from Naviti.
    • David vs. Goliath – Pat & Jessica from David/Vuku, Jeremy from Goliath/Jabeni.
    •  Island of the Idols – Ronnie & Vince from Lairo, Molly from Vokai.
      • Caramoan is the only season where all three were the same gender.
      • Millennials vs. Gen X and Ghost Island are the only seasons where players of both genders were eliminated and the combination wasn’t 2 males and 1 female.
    • You could also include Panama as there were only two tribes (orange vs. purple) by the second episode, where the first two boots came from Casaya (Tina & Melinda) and the third boot came from La Mina (Misty, who was originally on Bayoneta).

Confessionals

  • Vince had the most confessionals this episode with 10.
    • All three players so far who have had the most confessionals are the three players that went to Island of the Idols.
  • Vince has the highest confessional count so far this season with 14.
  • Kellee and Elizabeth have the highest confessional count for players still in the game with 12.
  • Vince is the first male to have the most confessionals in an episode.
  • Elaine, Kellee, Lauren, and Noura all had the least confessionals with 0.
    • Every male player had at least one confessional in this episode.
    • Janet was the only Vokai female to have a confessional this episode.
  • Dean had his first confessional in this episode.

Hidden Immunity Idols/Advantage

  • Vince is the second gay Asian-American player to get a hidden immunity idol.
    • Tai Trang is the other, finding idols in both Kaoh Rong and Game Changers.
      • Brad Virata from Cook Islands is the only gay Asian-American to not possess a hidden immunity idol.
  • Kristina Kell in Redemption Island and Chelsea Walker in Island of the Idols are the only females to find a hidden immunity idol while on an orange starting tribe.
    • Kelley Wentworth found one while she was on the orange merged tribe, Orkun in Cambodia.
  • Vince is the seventh Asian-American player to be in possession of a hidden immunity idol.
    • Yul Kwon – Cook Islands.
    • Yau-Man Chan & Mookie Lee – Fiji.
    • Natalie Anderson – San Juan del Sur.
    • Tai Trang – Kaoh Rong & Game Changers.
    • Kellee Kim & Vince Moua – Island of the Idols.
  • Vince is the 15th player voted out while in possession of a hidden immunity idol. The others are as follows:
    • James Clement in China.
    • Ozzy Lusth & Jason Siska in Micronesia.
    • Brendan Synott in Tocantins.
    • Erik Cardona in Samoa.
    • Andrea Boehlke in Caramoan.
    • Garrett Adelstein in Cagayan.
    • John Rocker & Jon Misch in San Juan Del Sur.
    • Scot Pollard in Kaoh Rong.
    • JT Thomas in Game Changers.
    • Chris Noble in Ghost Island.
    • Aubry Bracco & Kelley Wentworth in Edge of Extinction.
        All three seasons where two players were voted out with hidden immunity idols, the players were of the same gender.

        • Ozzy Lusth & Jason Siska in Micronesia.
        • John Rocker & Jon Misch in San Juan Del Sur.
        • Aubry Bracco & Kelley Wentworth in Edge of Extinction.
  • Only three females have been voted out while in possession of a hidden immunity idol.
    • Coincidentally, all three of them were returning players when they were voted out with an idol.

Island of the Idols

  • Vince is the first player to go to the IoI and be voted out.

Immunity Challenge – “Beam Me Up”

  • The challenge name is based on a quote from the TV series Star Trek.
  • Millennials vs. Gen X is the only season filmed in Fiji where the orange tribe (Vanua) won two out of three of the first challenges.

    • Fiji – Ravu lost the first three challenges.
    • Ghost Island – Malolo lost two out of three challenges.
    • David vs. Goliath – David/Vuku lost two out of three challenges.

Ratings

Episode Title

  • The episode title, “Honesty Would be Chill,” was said by Jack when talking to Tommy and Kellee about being blindsided at tribal council.

  1. Is there a reason the first bullet under the second stat for challenges (about Vanua being the only orange Fiji tribe to win 2/3 challenges) is verbatim the same as the stat itself?
