Tribal Council

  • Karishma was voted out 5-3.
    • Karishma has the highest number of votes this season with 22.
    • She now holds the record for most votes cast against a player in a single season.
      • The previous record was held by Laura Morett in Blood vs. Water with 19 votes.
        • However, Laura was voted out twice in the same season, while Karishma was only voted out once.
    • Karishma also holds the record for most votes cast against a newbie player in a single season.
      • The previous record was held by Jenn Brown in Worlds Apart and Christian Hubicki in David vs. Goliath.
        • All three of them negated a majority of votes against them at a tribal council in which they’d have gone home.
        • Christian still holds the record for most votes cast against a male player in a single season with 18.
    • Karishma is the first player in Survivor history to have over 20 votes cast against her in a single season.
  • This was the sixth tribal council where Karishma received votes.
    • 5 out of 6 times that Karishma received votes, Dean was one of them.
  • Karishma is the first jury member who was voted out and had previous votes against them.
  • Dan is the only player left in the game who has never cast a vote against Karishma.
  • Janet is the only player who voted for Karishma in the previous episode that didn’t vote for her in this episode.
    • Dean, Elaine, Lauren, Noura, and Tommy voted for Karishma two episodes in a row.
  • Karishma is the first 30+ woman to be voted out this season.
  • Karishma is the first player to be voted out post-merge who stayed on their original tribe during the tribe swap.
  • Dean ties a record previously held by Jane Bright in Nicaragua for most votes cast against a single player with 5.
    • Jane voted for Marty five times in Nicaragua.
    • Dean voted for Karishma five times this season.
      • One of Jane’s votes for Marty was during a revote, so Dean holds the record for most tribal councils in which he voted for the same player with 5.
    • You could also include Terry in this as he voted for Aras five times in Panama, however, one of those votes was a vote for Aras to win at Final Tribal Council.
  • Dean voted for Karishma at half of the tribal councils he attended.
    • 5/10 of the tribals he’s attended, he voted for Karishma.
  • Of the last eight players to be eliminated, the first four (Jason, Jack, Kellee, Jamal) were original Vokai, while the most recent four (Aaron, Missy, Elizabeth, Karishma) were original Lairo.
  • Dean and Elaine are the only original Lairo members left in the game.
    • Coincidentally, they’re also the only two players who don’t share an original tribe/swapped tribe combination with anyone left in the game.
      • Dan, Lauren, & Tommy – Vokai to Vokai.
      • Janet & Noura – Vokai to Lairo.
      • Dean – Lairo to Lairo.
      • Elaine – Lairo to Vokai.
  • Vokai to Vokai is the only swap pattern where nobody’s been voted out post-merge yet.
    • Dan, Lauren, and Tommy swapped from Vokai to Vokai, all three of them made it to the merge and are still in the game.
      • Vokai to Lairo, Lairo to Lairo, and Lairo to Vokai have all had at least one person eliminated.
  • Elaine is the highest-ranking woman from original Lairo left in the game.
  • Dean is the only original Lairo player who swapped to new Lairo that is left in the game.
  • Original Vokai AND post-swap Vokai have a majority in the numbers as of this episode.
    • Original Vokai: Dan, Janet, Lauren, Noura, and Tommy (5).
    • Original Lairo: Dean and Elaine (2).
    • Post Swap Vokai: Dan, Elaine, Lauren, and Tommy (4).
    • Post Swap Lairo: Dean, Janet, and Noura (3).
  • Of the 13 people who have been voted out, only two of them were never on Lairo.
    • Molly was voted out before the swap, and Jason stayed on Vokai after the swap.
    • Everyone else who’s been voted out was on Lairo at some point in the game.
  • Lauren is still the only remaining player who hasn’t yet been voted for.

Confessionals

  • Dean and Karishma had the highest confessional count this episode with 4 each.
    • This is the first time there has been a tie for most confessionals in an episode.

    • Three idols this season were played in the same episode they were found/won.
      • Janet, Lauren, and Elaine all played their idols in the same episode they got them.
        • Coincidentally, they’re also the three women left in the game who have found/won an idol.
  • 6 of the 10 women this season have found/received an idol.
    • Chelsea, Elaine, Janet, Kellee, and Karishma found idols.
    • Kellee and Lauren won idols from Island of the Idols.
      • Molly, Noura, Missy, and Elizabeth are the only women this season who haven’t possessed an idol.
        • Noura is the only woman left in the game who hasn’t found or won an idol. She did however have an idol used on her by Jamal in episode 7.
  • Eight idols this season were found/won by women, this continues to be the highest amount of idols that were possessed by women in a season.
  • There have been 10 idols present this season.
    • This season breaks the record previously held by Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers for most idols present with 9.
    • However, all the idols in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers were found by someone, while only 7/10 of the idols present in Island of the Idols were found, as 3 were given as rewards for winning the IoI test.
      • Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers still holds the record for most idols found with 9.
  • Missy is the only LGBT player this season to not have a hidden immunity idol.
    • Vince got one from completing his test on Island of the Idols.
    • Elaine found one in this episode.

Reward Challenge – “Full Tilt Affair”

  • Tommy and Janet won the reward, they took Dan and Lauren with them.
    • Noura is the only original Vokai member to not go on the reward.
    • None of the original Lairo members went on the reward.
  • Tommy has taken part in all three post-merge rewards.
    • His team won the reward when Elaine won the immunity challenge in episode 9.
    • He chose to eat during the “Compete or Eat” challenge in episode 10.
    • Tommy and Janet won the reward challenge in this episode during the family visit.
  • Janet is the only player to take part in the reward who was on Lairo at some point in the game.
    • Janet swapped from Vokai to Lairo. Dan, Lauren, and Tommy all swapped from Vokai to Vokai.
  • Jeff Probst incorrectly stated that Dan’s son is the youngest person to be present during the Loved Ones visit at age 13. However, the record is actually held by Shane Power’s son, Boston, who was 12 at the time of the Loved Ones visit in Panama.

Immunity Challenge – “Ballin a Jack”

  • This challenge was previously used in San Juan del Sur and Cambodia.
    • This was the first time this challenge was used where Keith Nale wasn’t competing in the challenge.
