Rob Brodeur breaks down all the stats from Episode 8 of Survivor: HHH.

Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.

Tribal Council

  • Desi was voted out 7-1 after a tie vote.
    • The original vote count was 4-4-1-1.
    • She had a total of 11 votes cast for her at this tribal council.
  • There are no female Healers remaining in the game.
    • None of the male Healers have been voted out yet.
  • Desi is the second African American to be the first jury member.
    • The first was Alicia Calaway, 33 seasons ago in The Australian Outback.
  • With Ben receiving a vote at this tribal council, everyone from the original Heroes tribe has at least one vote against them.
    • Cole, Devon, Mike, and Ryan are now the only people without votes against them this season.
  • Chrissy and JP have voted out five women in a row (Katrina, Roark, Ali, Jessica, and Desi).
    • Chrissy voted for Joe at the initial vote, but voted for Desi on the revote.
    • Every female that has cast a vote against Chrissy has now been voted out, and Chrissy has voted them all out (Roark, Ali, Jessica, and Desi).
  • Both times Lauren has received a vote against her, the one person that voted for her was voted out at that tribal council.
  • Desi is the first person that Mike and Cole have successfully voted out.
  • Ryan has cast the most correct votes this season so far.
    • He still has a perfect voting record, along with Devon, JP, and Lauren (including the initial tie vote & revotes).
      • Devon and Lauren both had one tribal council where they couldn’t vote, so JP and Ryan are the only ones with perfect voting records in which they cast a vote at every tribal they attended.

Tribes

  • Chrissy, JP, and Ryan have voted out all three female Healers.
  • Ben’s pre-merge tribe colors (blue/red) and Devon’s pre-merge tribe colors (red/blue) combine to make the merged tribe color (purple).

Hidden Immunity Idol/ Secret Advantage

  • Ryan found the hidden immunity idol in this episode.
    • He is the first person from a starting tribe other than Soko to find a hidden immunity idol.
      • Levu is the only starting tribe in which none of its original members found a hidden immunity idol, however Chrissy was given the “super idol” in the first episode by Ryan.
  • Lauren is the fifth person to have the opportunity to cast two votes at a tribal council, after Dan Foley in Worlds Apart, Stephen Fishbach in Cambodia, Tai Trang in Kaoh Rong, Debbie Wanner and Sarah Lacina in Game Changers.
    • She’s the first person to have this type of advantage in which she had to forfeit her vote at one tribal council, but is able to vote twice at a future tribal council.

Confessionals

  • Ben had the most confessionals this episode with 8.
    • This is now the highest single-episode confessional count this season.
      • He previously held the record with 7 confessionals in Episode 7.
      • His post-merge confessional counts match the episode number (7 in Episode 7, 8 in Eepisode 8).
    • He has the second highest confessional count now with 26, passing Chrissy who has 23.
      • Ryan still has the most with 33.
  • Ashley is the only person to have 0 confessionals this episode.
    • This is her first episode where she didn’t have a confessional.

Reward Challenge – “Air Raid”

  • This challenge has been previously seen in Worlds Apart and Cambodia.
  • Cole has won every reward challenge so far.
    • This was the first reward challenge that Mike didn’t win this season.
  • The first five people voted out participated in the Dream Team test run of this challenge.
  • According to Ashley’s Twitter, Devon later confessed to making up the fact that it was his birthday on the day of the reward challenge that he won.

Immunity Challenge – “Ten Foot Pole”

  • A version of this challenge has been previously seen in Samoa, South Pacific, and Cambodia.
    • The exact version of this challenge has been previously seen in Millennials vs. Gen X.
    • Both times this exact challenge was seen, it was won by a man (David Wright and Cole Medders).
  • Desi was the last woman standing in both individual immunity challenges she participated in.
  • Episode 7 has been the only one so far this season where Cole was vulnerable to be voted out.
    • He won every pre-merge immunity challenge, and won the individual immunity challenge in this episode.

Actually, Chrissy didn’t vote for Desi, even on the re-vote. She voted for Joe both times. JP is actually the only one to successfully vote out five women this season.

The person who voted for Ben on the revote was Ben. Chrissy voted Desi.
