Survivor: Ghost Island

Next Time On Survivor – Episode 7

Tillie Reilly makes her predictions for the next episode.

Oh boy, I’d like to say last Tribal Council put the icing on the cake for this season’s group of pre-merge boots being one of the best ever, but we still have roughly one more person to add to that list. I know it isn’t confirmed that this is the last Tribal before the merge, but I am making that assumption because the last three seasons with 20 players merged with 13 players left.

After seeing Stephanie voted out, I went into last week’s episode with the expectation that literally anybody could go home, but even then I still didn’t expect James to go. I felt like if James had the opportunity to make the merge, he would have been a force to be reckoned with in this game. Last week’s episode revealed two things to me: Kellyn doesn’t have the best social game and Angela isn’t socially aware of what is going on.

Kellyn waved two red flags last week while talking to Angela by telling her she and Des are really tight and that Kellyn has a solid alliance of five to moving forward. If I were Angela, that would’ve told me that I would be number six in the alliance of five. Angela’s best move for her game would’ve been to keep James and work with him. Since original Malolo is already down in numbers, she could have easily moved forward in the game with them and got in tight with someone like James instead of automatically being considered bottom of the totem pole with Naviti.

Gotta Risk It For the Biscuit

Jumping right into this week’s previews, we can’t help but wonder what is happening on Naviti beach. It seems that more people are beginning to realize something that viewers caught onto during Episode 3, and that is that Bradley is pretty cocky. During his pre-game interviews, Bradley pointed out that his flaw is that he can become too cocky, and that flaw is making its appearance in full force. A lot of players talk about trying to hide parts of their personalities during the game, and something I’ve gathered is that you may be able to hide being cocky for a couple days, but after dealing with the environment and being hungry and tired, you’ll eventually show the real ‘you.’

In the preview, Donathan has a scene where he says “There’s a fire in my body that is raging.” I’d love to think Bradley wouldn’t stoop so low to possibly make a comment about Donathan, but after the stunt that happened during Game Changers, we are open to an unlimited amount of possibilities of what can happen. Something else I think Bradley doesn’t realize is that Domenick spent more time with Donathan and Libby than he did with Bradley and Chelsea, so he is in the power position to side with whoever he wants right now. Looking at how Dom is talking about Bradley, calling him “a nasty son of a b****,” I think he may end up siding with Donathan and Libby.

Bad Juju

On Malolo beach, they are at the point where they believe they’re cursed, so now they’re burning the Malolo flag in the hope that will change the path of the tribe. Looking back at the tribe throughout this season so far, Malolo probably got as much airtime as they did because production wanted to hide the fact this season is having a Pagonging. Otherwise, I doubt this season would have gotten as much hype as it has knowing Naviti was going to sweep pre-merge. Overall, I still love the tribe and will agree with Jacob that it was filled with some of the greatest people (this season).

I’m predicting that Malolo’s outlook next week is looking a little brighter. The previews focus on Malolo trying to reverse their own curse on their tribe, and those types of scenes are something that will be shown before the Immunity Challenge. Maybe burning the flag actually worked?

When it comes to the new third tribe, Yanuya, they seem to be left out entirely from both previews, so we can only assume they are safe and CBS saved the screen time for Malolo’s pre-immunity flag burning and then possibly Naviti’s post-immunity fallout with Bradley stirring the pot.

No matter how this episode goes, I’m excited to see what happens on Naviti beach.

Predictions

Who goes to Tribal?

I really think Malolo finally catches a break and Naviti ends up going to Tribal this week. Based on the previews, it seems like CBS is trying to hide something because this clip is only 11 seconds and it doesn’t show any new scenes from the Next Time preview shown after the episode last week. So I’m locking in that Naviti goes to Tribal.

Who is on the chopping block?

I’ve dragged this name in the mud for this question the last few weeks, but I really think his time is coming… so I’m sticking with Bradley for the fourth week in a row. If it happens to be someone else, that means Naviti didn’t go to Tribal because I don’t think they will keep Bradley around if he pissed them off as much as the preview shows.

Will an Idol get played?

Dom is in a great position on his tribe right now, so I definitely don’t see him playing the idol but next week could be a different story since the legacy advantage can be played at 13.

Winner Prediction After Episode 6

Last season I guessed Ben the whole season to win, and now this season I predicted Brendan and then James to win, and then they both went out pre-merge. So as of Episode 6, I’m going with Laurel, but obviously please don’t sit too heavy on my winner prediction!

After the last three vote-offs, it honestly couldn’t get much worse, so I expect the season to go up a bit from here. I’ll jump the gun and say I am excited to see how everyone throws it down for the merge, if we are given the gift of seeing the battle of Chris vs. Dom, seeing how Malolo survives and seeing how Ghost Island continues.

That’s it for this week!

  1. Thanks! I really like Michael as well and if there were more Malolo members to stick around for the merge, id probably have him high on my list to possibly win but honestly I dont think Naviti will allow him to get too close to the end. He is really good at challenges and they know he is a player since he found an idol and then lied about it saving 2 people. I think he will probably go out around 8 or 9 people left.
