Survivor: Ghost Island

Next Time On Survivor – Episode 11

Tillie Reilly makes her predictions for the next episode.

We’re approaching the end of the season with only four more episodes left and honestly, last week’s episode was one of the more enjoyable ones of the season. It showed that some people really have no idea what is going on and that Desiree really tried to rally Dom and Wendell’s alliance against them. Also, I was pretty surprised at how obvious last week’s preview was in that it basically revealed who was going home.

I’ve grown to really like Michael’s character and how he’s had to play harder than everyone (in my opinion), so I’ve been hoping he could make it past being targeted by the remaining Naviti. He’s definitely not in the clear, but I enjoyed seeing someone go home who from the majority and seeing the tide turn. I also want to say that I know I dragged Chelsea a lot last week and she ended up winning immunity, so props to her for becoming relevant. But then she followed that up by being the only person to vote for Michael (except for Des).

I was so excited back in February because this season was getting so much hype and I got pumped up, and it sucks to see the edit is absolutely terrible and the gameplay not much better. I don’t understand why Malolo has been on the bottom this whole time and now when they have the opportunity to work together to make something happen that they continue to stick with the big dogs Dom and Wendell. It kind of reminds me of another version of Kim Spradlin’s game. It’s obvious to everyone who is going to win, but let’s just hang with them until the end… because that’s the smart thing to do. This season is going to be the same exact outcome.

The Finish Line Is In Sight

It has become a regular thing to get a double boot episode once a season, but they usually take place over two separate tribals and are condensed into one episode. This week is a bit different because we have a double boot episode, but two people will go home at the same tribal back to back. I’m excited to see how everything plays out because the first boot can possibly be predicted, but with the amount of information that gets revealed at tribal for the first boot, that can influence who goes home second.

Jumping into the immunity challenge, one thing I noticed from the Press Photos is that there is a division of two groups because some are wearing purple bands on their wrist and others are wearing orange. Therefore I’m assuming one person from each group will win immunity. The two groups consist of:

Orange: Michael, Laurel, Dom, Wendall, Kellyn
Purple: Donathan, Jenna, Angela, Sebastian, Chelsea.

Also looking at the Press Photos, I could be making a bit of a stretch here, but when you compare the shadows of Kellyn and Michael playing the challenge, they don’t match the shadows of Dom. It looks like his shadow shows his challenge dropped, but I could be wrong. Even though there’s a record of females winning the challenges, I think Wendell will win this challenge.

When it comes to purple, I think the two with the best chance to win will be either Angela or Chelsea. But considering this is a double boot episode, I’m feeling either Chelsea or Jenna will be going home for purple. So this immunity will probably be the make it or break it moment for Chelsea.

“Donathan’s An Idiot”

If last week’s episode preview was obvious enough to show who was going home, this week’s episode preview could do the same. That being said, in the preview we see Jenna begin to lie to Donathan and call him an idiot. Donathan is in one of the most secure spots in this game but this week being put up against Jenna, Sebastian, Chelsea, and Angela, he isn’t that secure. If Jenna decides to go for Donathan, he has two votes against him since we know Jenna and Sebastian are basically a pair. I don’t think Donathan’s edit would lead up to him being sent out during a double boot episode, so I feel that whoever’s plan to target him backfires or Donathan plays the idol to save himself. Who’s the real idiot if he plays the idol?

Looking at the other group, we see Kellyn tell Dom that Michael has an idol, but Dom doesn’t believe he does. No doubt Kellyn will continue to target Michael. I can’t see her voting for anyone else except for him, so Michael’s fate lies with Laurel, Dom, and Wendell. If Kellyn doesn’t win this immunity, I can see a Michael vs. Kellyn this episode for the orange group. I think this would be the week Kellyn may play her extra vote advantage considering she doesn’t have a strong bond with anyone in that group and it would, in my opinion, be the smartest thing to do considering she was painted a target last week.

Predictions

Who wins immunity?

I think Wendell wins for the orange group, but when it comes to purple, it’s a toss-up. The preview circled around Jenna calling Donathan an idiot, so I speculate neither of them wins immunity. Chelsea has this ‘double boot episode’ feeling edit. So we’re left with Angela and Sebastian. Sebastian hasn’t won an immunity yet, so I will guess Angela wins for the purple group.

Who’s on the chopping block?

It will boil down to Michael and Kellyn for Orange and Jenna and Chelsea for Purple.

Who goes to Ghost Island?

I’m not sure there will be someone going to Ghost Island this week because I don’t think we have a reward challenge based on the Press Photos.

Will an advantage or idol get played?

I think the smartest thing for Kellyn will be to play her advantage if she loses immunity. When it comes to Donathan, I think he will play his idol if he feels he is on the bottom. Jenna knows about his idol, so she can easily manipulate him into thinking he is safe but I think he is self-aware enough to know if he is being targeted once it comes to everyone spilling beans at tribal.

Wendell because he has the most obvious edit.

That’s it for this week! Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

  1. I really don’t see the hype on Michael. He is very robotic, his strategy talk is either basic or ineffective. He speaks through life lesson and inspirational quotes from instagram. The game was harder on him than on most people, but Laurel and Donathan are clearly making a better effort than his to maneuver the situation.

He found two idols. Great. That’s what is important these days, right?.

But his demographic receives a lot of praise for nothing. All T, all shade.

Between the 18 years old players, I think he is way worse than Julia and Will.

    • I think the hype behind Michael is that he has been literally on the bottom since premiere night when Stephanie or laurel (one of them) mentioned his name to go home. Ive liked seeing him just slip by each week continuously being on the bottom.

  2. lol, another really obvious promo. I feel Chelsea is either this week upcoming or next. Theyre probably going to see her as a threat for winning 2x immunity
