Survivor Fantasy: Missed Opportunities

Last year, we created a fantasy season titled, Survivor: Rebels and Rogues, where you the Inside Survivor readers voted on a cast of 20 out of a pre-selected ballot of 32. Due to the success of the poll, we want to bring you more Survivor fantasy season ideas, and that leads us to our latest idea, Survivor: Indonesia – Missed Opportunities.

Due to the success of Kelley Wentworth, and to a lesser degree Kimmi Kappenberg, on Survivor: Cambodia – Second Chance, it proved that pre-merge boots could come back and have a huge impact on the game. There were so many pre-merge boots over Survivor’s thirty-two seasons that had the potential to be great players or memorable characters, but unfortunately had their time cut short – often due to unlucky twists or stupid mistakes. Our new fantasy idea aims to cast 20 pre-merge boots that missed their opportunities to become Survivor legends, and place them in Indonesia, one of Survivor’s oft-rumored locations.

Let’s enter the world of fantasy…

Speech
Inside Survivor has selected a ballot of 32 former, one-time only pre-mergers (16 men and 16 women). The top ten vote-getters from each category will get to return.

This tough cop was on a roll until injuring her ankle. Her tribe voted her out to keep challenge strength.

One of the smarter “Fan” tribe members, Tracy was cursed with quitter allies and a bad tribe swap.

The Men

Silas

The leader of the “Mallrat” alliance, Silas was a victim of the first ever tribe swap.

He had all the makings to be a classic Survivor supervillain until he was blindsided by his own ally Sugar.

Yet another victim of the tribe swap. What was even more cruel for Marcus was that this was the second swap of the season, just before the merge.

26 · Tocantins · 12th
He started very well in camp and challenges, but then one bad challenge performance cost this superfan his Survivor game.
Zane

Zane Knight

32 · Philippines · 18th
We only got to witness one episode of Zane’s erratic gameplay, depriving us of a potentially great, crazy Survivor character.
JohnC

John Cody

33 · Blood vs. Water · 13th
He had all the tools, but unfortunately his wife’s (Candice Cody) dominance in Redemption Island duels scared Brad Culpepper, who voted John out to ensure both Cody’s wouldn’t run the game.
Brice

Brice Johnston

30 · Cagayan · 16th
His humour and style just didn’t quite mesh with the Beauty tribe and despite best efforts he was the first person voted out of the tribe.

Cliff Robinson

49 · Cagayan · 14th
Athletic, strong, likable… Cliff looked set for a deep run until Tony Vlachos came along.
Drew

Drew Christy

27 · San Juan Del Sur · 15th
His early blindside is one of Survivor’s finest episodes, but Drew’s stupidity and lack of awareness barely touched the surface of its potential.
Max

Max Dawson

39 · Worlds Apart · 14th
This Survivor teacher became clouded by his own arrogance and didn’t realise the target was on him after the tribe swap. Maybe he has learned something?
Darnell

Darnell Hamilton

27 · Kaoh Rong · 18th
Many people had high hopes for Darnell, he was down to earth and good humoured, but losing the swimming mask in the first challenge cost him his Survivor dreams.
Peter

Peter Baggenstos

35 · Kaoh Rong · 12th
He could have made the merge if he just kept his mouth shut. Peter’s over-confidence sunk his game earlier than he would have liked.

    I think the locks for girls to come back in real life from this cast are Anna and Alecia for girls and,,, Unfortunately, Max ;-;

  • Dutch

I love this. So many people I want back on this poll.

  • Red

I think John Cody will eventually be back along with Anna

  • ShihoMT

Alecia has no chance. the next time she’s in, and her tribe loses immunity, she’s gone. other 2 girls who could be liability during tribe phase, Laura Alexander and Alexis Maxwell has the potentials of getting really dangerous once the merge comes. Anna shows she’s willing to throw her ally under the bus, much like Wentworth’s plan to push the target more onto Terry.

I don’t see anyone strategic really, in the men list. maybe Spencer, but he is too quiet. Marcus is a challenge threat. Aaron can make it far if he doesn’t dip in the leadership role, and got screwed on tribe swap again. Max Dawson is just annoying, its frustrating to watch him play, since you have high hopes on him, then he gone mad.

  • Trintex

    Drew Christy? Really?

    • Martin Holmes

Every season needs an idiot or two. 🙂

      • Trintex

        Maybe, but not that idiot.

        • ShihoMT

if they’re looking for an entertaining idiot. bring back drew.

  • Michael

I always had a soft spot for skinny Ryan from pearl islands, I wish he was on here. He was a victim of savage being an idiot. He had so much respect for the game and was heartbroken going so early. I reckon he would be good in the post merge game.

    • Liz

I totally agree. Just re-watching PI at the moment, and he had the potential to play a good game. Sad times when the ones you are rooting for never get their second chance huh?

  • Curtis

Love these options, but was really hoping to see Carl Bilancione from Africa on here. Just recently re-watched the first half of that season, and he’s a legitimate strategist early on who gets screwed by Silas & a nature quiz tiebreaker.

  • Melih

if christine isnt on then it will be tragic

  • Kara

Great choices! I’ve always wanted to see Tracy return. I think she could have played a really played a good game and gone deep, if not for the reasons you mentioned. Sadly, I don’t think we will ever see her back. The only person I see having any sort of shot returning from Micronesia is Natalie, and they keep passing her over. It’d be great if they would do a pre-jury returning players season, since they love both themes and returnees so much. Silas, both Lindsey’s, So, Aaron, and Gina would also get my vote.

    • Slooooow

What about Alexis from Micronesia? I think she would be good on a second chances season.

Does this poll forecast a future possible season. Will production fantasy idea? Also, who made that logo, and how. It looks real.

    • Martin Holmes

It’s just an idea we made up. The logo was made by ColYok17 from Survivor Digest. 🙂

  • J

Jenny Guzon-Bae not being part of the ballot is such a travesty.
