Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: Edge of Extinction.

Tribal Council

  • Chris was voted out 5-2.
    • He’s the first Chris to play Survivor and be voted out pre-merge. The other Survivor Chris’s are as follows:
      • Chris Daugherty – Winner – Vanuatu
      • Chris Hammons – 11th Place – Millennials vs. Gen X
      • Chris Noble – 13th Place – Ghost Island
  • This was the first tribal council this season where only two people received votes.
  • David and Rick are the only players to have perfect voting records so far.
    • This episode was the first time Chris didn’t vote with the majority.
    • Wendy hasn’t voted correctly at any of the tribal councils she’s attended.
  • David has correctly voted at 15 out of the 17 tribal councils he’s attended (16 out of 18 if you include the final tribal council of Millennials vs. Gen X, where he voted for Adam to win).
    • The only two times he voted for the person that didn’t go home was when he voted for Zeke in episode 10 (there was a tie and Jessica drew the rock that sent her home) and Adam in episode 13 (when David was voted out) in Millennials vs. Gen X.
  • This is the first tribal council where Wendy didn’t receive any votes against her.
  • Kelley has received at least one vote at all three tribal councils she’s attended so far.
  • Both seasons where there was a player named Wendy, she was on a blue starting tribe that was playing against a yellow tribe, and both of them got votes at the first tribal council of the season.
    • The other player is Wendy DeSmidt-Kohlhoff in Nicaragua.
  • This is the first season where Aubry didn’t go to tribal council in episode 3.
    • She went to tribal council in episode 3 in both Kaoh Rong and Game Changers.
    • This is also the first time she made it through episode 3 without receiving any votes against her.
      • She got two votes in episode 3 of Kaoh Rong.
      • She got two votes in episode 2 of Game Changers.
  • The last time Joe voted someone out of Survivor was Kelly Remington in the merge episode of Worlds Apart.

Cast

  • Aubry has been on a yellow tribe in all three of her seasons.
    • Swapped to Gondol in Kaoh Rong.
    • Merged to Maku Maku in Game Changers.
    • Started on Kama in Edge of Extinction.
  • Both times David has played Survivor, he’s played with someone named Chris.
    • He started on the same tribe as both of them:
      • Takali with Chris Hammons.
      • Manu with Chris Underwood.
    • He also voted them both out of the game.

Confessionals

  • Wendy had the most confessionals this episode with 8.
    • This is the highest number of confessionals from one person in an episode so far this season.
    • She has the highest confessional count this season as well with 13 so far.
  • Julie, Lauren, Aurora, Eric, Gavin, Ron, and Julia had the least amount of confessionals this episode with 0.
    • Julia hasn’t had a confessional in any of the three episodes that have aired so far.
    • Lauren is the only Manu member to not have a confessional this episode.
    • This was the first episode this season where Julie, Lauren, Aurora, Eric, and Gavin didn’t have a confessional.
  • Wendy and David are the only players to have more confessionals than the players on Extinction Island.
    • Reem had 3 and Keith had 2. Everyone else in the cast (besides Wendy and David) had 3 or less confessionals.
      • Reem and Keith had more confessionals than 9 players that are still in the game.

Hidden Immunity Idol

  • Aubry found a hidden immunity idol at Kama beach.
    • She’s the fourth player to find her first idol on her third time playing. The others are as follows:
      • Coach Wade in South Pacific.
      • Jonathan Penner in Philippines.
      • Tyson Apostol in Blood vs. Water.
        • Aubry is the only female with this distinction.
        • She’s also the only player to play in 30s seasons.
  • 8 out of 44 idols in the 30s seasons were found by women, with the most recent three idols being found by women.
    • Carolyn Rivera and Jenn Brown in Worlds Apart.
    • Kelley Wentworth in Cambodia (two idols).
    • Lauren Rimmer in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
    • Angelina Keeley in David vs. Goliath.
    • Lauren O’Connell and Aubry Bracco in Edge of Extinction.
  • This is the first season where the idols on each tribe beach were found by women.
    • Sabrina and Kim found the first two idols in One World, but Sabrina found hers when the tribes were on the same beach.
    • Carolyn and Jenn found the first two idols in Worlds Apart, but the Escameca idol wasn’t found until the merge, and it was found by Mike Holloway.

Reward Challenge – “Losing Face”

  • This is the first and only challenge Manu has won so far this season.
  • This challenge was previously used in South Pacific, Millennials vs. Gen X, Game Changers, and David vs. Goliath.
    • Aubry and David have played this challenge twice. Aubry lost both times and David won both times.

Immunity Challenge – “Beyond the Wheel”

  • Kama is the fifth yellow starting tribe to win the first three immunity challenges. The others are as follows:
    • Tandang in Philippines.
    • Galang in Blood vs. Water.
    • Gondol in Kaoh Rong.
    • Soko in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
  • Manu is the third blue starting tribe to lose the first three immunity challenges. The others are as follows:
    • Ulong in Palau.
    • Matsing in Philippines.

Ratings

Episode Title

  • The episode title “Betrayals are Going to Get Exposed” was said by David Wright when discussing his decision to blindside Kelley or vote out Chris.
    • All three episode titles so far have been said by returning players (Joe in episode 1, Kelley in episode 2, and David in episode 3)
      • Aubry is the only returning player that hasn’t said an episode title this season.
