Pro TV To Produce Romanian Survivor

Pro TV, a Romanian private TV channel, have acquired the license for production and broadcast of “Survivor”.

There have been versions of Survivor produced in neighboring countries such as Bulgaria (2006-2014) and Hungary (2003-2004) but “Supravietuitorul” will be the first version of the format to be produced in Romania.

Pro TV is targeted primarily at urban adults between the ages 18-49 and broadcasts many top international series and movies. Earlier this year, the channel debuted their version of the popular international format “I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!”. The series was filmed over 21 days in South Africa, in an isolated location over 400 km from Johannesburg. There is no information as of yet regarding when and where “Supravietuitorul” will film.

The news comes just a month after Channel Ten also announced the return of the format to Australia.

The application process for potential contestants is now open. If you are a Romanian citizen and think you have what it takes to participate in the greatest adventure show on television, then send an email to [email protected] with details about yourself and why you think you would be perfect for this show.
