Survivor: Game Changers

Power Rankings Round 8

Michelle Schubert takes on Inside Survivor in power rankings for Survivor: Game Changers Episode 10.

While the castaways of Survivor: Game Changers fight it out on the islands of Fiji for the million dollar prize, another battle is taking place here on Inside Survivor. Former Survivor player and “Mother of Dragons” Michelle Schubert takes on Inside Survivor’s Martin “Redmond” Holmes to determine the Inside Survivor Power Rankings champion.

Previously on Power Rankings…

In Round 7, Martin received 23 points (11 points for Hali and 12 points of Ozzy) and Michelle received 16 points (4 points for Hali and 12 for Ozzy). That means the overall scores are Martin at 129 points and Michelle at 120 points. Can Martin continue to widen the gap or will Michelle make a comeback in this week’s rankings?

The Rules

We use the Gordon Holmes format of Power Rankings. Each week the two power rankers create separate rankings based on least likely to most likely to be eliminated. The ranking of the player who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the rankers will earn. For example, if Tai is voted out in Episode 10, Martin would receive 1 points and Michelle would receive 5 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the Survivor: Game Changers Power Rankings Champion.

Troyzan
No one is going after Troyzan, nor do they have any reason to. I wouldn’t say he’s sitting pretty in the middle because he’s very much on Brad’s side, but in those numbers, he’s the one least likely for anyone from the opposing side to go after. His story is yet to be fleshed out, and I don’t see it really taking off and crashing all in one week.
1
Tai
Tai looks to be in a good position. He's in the majority and has two idols in his back pocket. He's also great in challenges. Those things could make him a target but I don't think people are coming after him right now.
2
Sarah
Much like Troyzan, she’s in the middle of the pack. She’s notorious for fumbling with that in her past, but I don’t see here getting “Sarah’d” again this season. She’s correctly sitting back and watching the bigger targets take each other out.
2
Troyzan
Troyzan was barely in the last episode. He doesn't seem to be on anyone's radar. And he has an idol. I can't see people targeting him just yet.
3
Brad
As one of the leaders of the Brad/Sierra alliance, he could definitely be in trouble if Cirie and company swings over some more numbers. However, for some reason, that side seems to be targeting Sierra over Brad, so if either is going to be targeted, unless Sierra is immune, it looks like Brad could be safe over Sierra.
3
Brad
Weirdly, Brad was portrayed as second in command to Sierra last week, but that actually makes me think he's safe. Even if the other side can flip numbers, it looks like they'd target Sierra ahead of Mr. Culpepper.
4
Sierra
Pretty much the same status as Brad, although again, just slightly more of a target. Sierra got a lot of exposure last week, and with us being reminded again of her legacy advantage, my gut says she’s going to at least make it to Final Six so we see that come into play.
4
Debbie
Debbie was twerking it and working it in last week's episode. I think people underestimate her threat level, so they won't be gunning for her until some of the bigger names are taken care of first.
5
Tai
While he’s had difficulty being trusted in the past, I think he’s managed to smooth things over, and he still has two idols, but I have an uneasy feeling about him. He tends to put his foot in his mouth and make himself a target, but I think we’re at a few rounds away from that happening.
5
Sarah
Everyone wants to work with Sarah. Right now, she's comfortably in the middle. My only concern is if she starts flipping back and forth too much and people decide just to take her out. If that does happen, I don't think it will be this week.
6
Aubry
I just don't know about Aubry. Not much screen time and I don't see her making a big move this game. When will she be voted out? I have no idea. So I have her somewhat in the middle.
6
Aubry
Aubry is a tough one. The edit hasn't really given a clear picture of where she stands in the game. She appears to be in the minority now, so could be in trouble. I'm keeping her middle of the pack.
7
Michaela
There is still a lot of room for shakeups in the game, and I think if anyone could get lost in the shuffle, it’s Michaela. While the two sides continue battling it out, a mutually agreed-upon Michaela vote could still be in the realm of possibility. Sierra and Brad have made it no secret she makes them uncomfortable, but I feel like their sights are set elsewhere at this point. It may be silly of me to keep putting her up so high, but I've got a lot of trust in this girl! #TeamMichaela
7
Michaela
Michaela had that great scene last week with Cirie, and I hope to see their relationship continue to grow over the next few weeks. But, with Cirie's alliance taking a hit, and Michaela seemingly a target of Sierra/Brad, her name could easily be up on the chopping block again.
8
Andrea
Andrea’s right there with Cirie in playing well but just not having the numbers. Had Zeke gotten his way last week, Andrea would’ve been out. If he pushes his same agenda again this week, she could see herself in more danger.
8
Sierra
If there is somehow an uprising against the Sierra/Brad alliance, Sierra seems to be set up as the figurehead of that group. She was given a cocky edit last week, so perhaps it was foreshadowing a downfall?
9
Debbie
Debbie slated herself as a mover and shaker (both in the game and on the dance floor) last week with switching the target to Ozzy and using her extra vote to secure his boot. She did a great job of patching things up with Brad, but I don’t rank her much higher because Debbie is still Debbie, and you never know with her.
9
Cirie
Cirie came to life last week, and it was a joy to watch. I think she has the skills to go further, but I'm keeping her low because she is in the minority and the biggest target left in the game.
10
Cirie
Cirie played extremely well last week and reminded us all why she is on this season in the first place, but unfortunately, the numbers just are not on her side. She managed to save Michaela in the first vote, but the Brad/Sierra alliance still got their second choice voted out. Then Cirie was left as blindsided as Ozzy with his departure. Cirie has a big hill to climb as a lot of people look to be going Brad and Sierra’s way instead of Cirie’s.
10
Zeke
In Zeke's own words, he was "caught with his pants down" last week. He turned on his allies too soon, and it almost cost him. Zeke and Andrea are surely going to be gunning for each other.
11
Zeke
Had it not been for Debbie bringing up an Ozzy vote, Zeke would have been voted out last week. Neither of the two sides in the game has much love for Zeke. He’s eager to make a big move, but I think that’s going to lead him to making a big mistake. He already has, in my opinion, by turning his back on Andrea and Cirie. I think Zeke could be the one “Sarah’d” this week as he tries to play both sides but instead they come together and vote out the troublemaker.
11
Andrea
We finally got to see Andrea last week, but I'm wondering if that visibility spike was just to set up her upcoming boot. It seems like she and Zeke are about to go to war, and only one can survive.
