Survivor: Game Changers

Power Rankings Round 4

Michelle Schubert takes on Inside Survivor in power rankings for Survivor: Game Changers Episode 5.

While the castaways of Survivor: Game Changers fight it out on the islands of Fiji for the million dollar prize, another battle is taking place here on Inside Survivor. Former Survivor player and “Mother of Dragons” Michelle Schubert takes on Inside Survivor’s Martin “Redmond” Holmes to determine the Inside Survivor Power Rankings champion.

Previously on Power Rankings…

After Round 3, we finally have a shake-up, with Michelle pulling slightly ahead of Martin. Michelle had Malcolm in 14th place last week thereby gaining 14 points. Martin had Malcolm ranked in 11th place. That means the overall scores are Michelle at 65 points and Martin on 62. It’s still all to play for!

The Rules

We use the Gordon Holmes format of Power Rankings. Each week the two power rankers create separate rankings based on least likely to most likely to be eliminated. The ranking of the player who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the rankers will earn. For example, if JT is voted out in Episode 5, Martin and Michelle will both receive 16 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the Survivor: Game Changers Power Rankings Champion.

1
Michaela
People seem far more concerned with Sandra and JT on her tribe. Her name isn't even in the mix.
1
Ozzy
Keeping Ozzy at the top has worked for me so far, why change now? (cue crazy unforeseen twist that gets Ozzy kicked out)
2
Sierra
Like Michaela, there are just so many better options for targets. Her tribe obviously cares about her too (i.e. Tai giving her the idol.)
2
Troyzan
Is that an idol in his pocket or is he just happy to be back on Survivor? Both apparently. I'd but surprised if Tavua even go to tribal at this point, but if they do, Troy is playing that idol.
3
Sarah
We haven't seen much of her. She's strong and is staying clear of any drama.
3
Tai
If he hasn't earned his tribe's loyalty by now then I'm not sure what else he can do. Tai should be good for a long while.
4
Aubry
Still smart and kinda funny; no reason to get rid of her yet, right?
4
Sierra
She's in the majority, seems to have a solid social game, and showed herself to be perceptive last week. I can't see how she goes home even if Mana go back to tribal.
5
Troyzan
Has an idol and a brain. I think he's safe for this episode.
5
Brad
Much like Sierra and Tai, Brad is in the majority, and seemingly has some control. I put him below the other two just because Debbie seems to be directing attention towards him. But I think he's safe.
6
Jeff
I just really like him. I wish he was my uncle or something.
6
Zeke
It's kind of baffling how someone in that loud of a shirt can camouflage into the background. I don't see Zeke being in any danger; he's in the numbers and his edit doesn't suggest an upcoming blindside.
7
Zeke
Where has our Zeke been?
7
Sarah
Similar to Zeke. We haven't seen enough of her to hint of an upcoming boot. Plus she is strong and in the majority.
8
Brad
I think he's playing an amazing game so far. He's currently the puppet master of his tribe, but that also makes him a threat in this game. Also, did you see his come-from-behind in that reward challenge last week?! WOW, they better keep him around.
8
Michaela
After her name came up in the first episode, it doesn't seem to have been mentioned since. Her tribe is full of big threats so Michaela can hide out for the time being.
9
Cirie
I think she's safe, and the only thing that could explode her game at this point is if the war starts between her and Ozzy.
9
Cirie
I think Tavua will probably remain immune, but I'm putting Cirie down here as one of the two likely victims of a Troyzan idol play.
10
Ozzy
He's obviously super useful to keep around both for challenges and for provision around camp but this is a season of big moves, and this would be HUGE.
10
Andrea
Same as Cirie. Andrea is the other most likely option of a Troy idol attack.
11
Tai
Last episode was great. Good job Tai. Buuuuuuuut people may be even more cautious of him now. He's so sneaky.
11
Aubry
We haven't seen a lot from Aubry, so I'm really not sure exactly where she stands on Nuku. If JT somehow finds an idol, maybe Sandra and her allies put votes on Aubry?
12
Andrea
Martin, I'm stealing your idea that if Troyzan targets someone with his idol right now, it could very well be Andrea.
12
Jeff
He's only this low because I think Nuku have a high chance of losing the challenge and if JT and Sandra somehow don't blow each other's heads off, maybe Varner gets caught in the crossfire.
13
Debbie
The preview showed Debbie having a bit of a freak out this episode... could this result in her exit?
13
Debbie
It looks like Debbie is going Full Wanner in the next episode which could put her on the chopping block. I think her edit suggests she'll be around longer, but she is the next clear Mana target after Hali.
14
Sandra
If there's going to be a mutiny, I suspect it'll happen to the Queen. It's been a long time coming and it's only episode 4.
14
Hali
She's certainly shown herself to be scrappy but Hali is still far outnumbered on Mana. She's the obvious boot at a Mana tribal whether she consents or not.
15
Hali
She's very clearly on the bottom of her tribe and last episode we saw her being absolutely played by none other than Debbie - ouch.
15
Sandra
With Nuku losing Malcolm and now having to play both Sandra and Varner, I can't see them pulling out a challenge win. Sandra and JT are going to war, and only one can survive. If JT finds an idol, the Queen is dead.
16
JT
If I were making rankings based on who I'm rooting for, JT would be at the top, but in actuality, he's SOOOOO on the outs with his tribe, ESPECIALLY after snitching the "Sierra plan" to Brad last week at tribal which resulted in his closest ally being voted out.
16
JT
You don't hand the enemy information, that's a no-no. I think JT is in for an ass-beating when he gets back to Nuku camp and unless he finds an idol, he's going to be soon having a very awkward conversation with Malcolm.

  1. This season as the potential to become terrible. The two most interesting people have already been voted out and the rest of the interesting people are either getting terrible edits or are on the outs.

  2. Just because the “popular kids” are getting voted out doesn’t mean that the season will be terrible. That sounds more like the attitude of a Survivor Groupie than a Survivor Fan.
