Australian Survivor Season 3 Power Rankings (Round 4)

Former castaways Sarah Tilleke, Luke Toki and Tess O’Halloran face off!

While the battle between Champions and Contenders is playing out on the islands of Fiji, here on Inside Survivor, an even bigger showdown is taking place. That’s right, Aussie Power Rankings are back, and this time we’re upping the intensity, a Sarah Tilleke, Luke Toki, and Tess O’Halloran compete for the Inside Survivor Power Rankings crown!

The Exile Beach Bonus paid off for Sarah in Round 3 as the extra 5 points for ranking Tegan first was enough to push her into 1st place with 103 points. Tess follows closely behind on 99 points, while Luke slips into third place with 95 points. Anything can happen heading into a tribe swap and so Round 4 could be a week of huge shifts!

RULES

We use the Gordon Holmes format of Power Rankings. Each week the three power rankers create separate rankings based on least likely to most likely to be eliminated. The ranking of the player who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the rankers will earn. For example, if the person you ranked in 1st place is eliminated in the next episode, you will recieve 1 point. If the person you ranked in 20th place is eliminated, you will receive 20 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the Australian Survivor Power Rankings Champion.

As Australian Survivor airs multiple episodes per week, the rankings will count for each episode aired that particular week. Placements are adjusted after each elimination to reflect the amount of players remaining and points are then recalculated.

1
Benji
Okay, I'ma start off by saying, an impending swap makes it so hard to do power rankings this week, so if these are abysmally wrong, not my fault. But! As we know, Benji has an idol clue, meaning he’s going into the swap with a potential tribal buffer... However, let’s hope he stays at his beach in order to get it, if not, that he phones in a friend to go idol hunting for him.
1
Fenella
Fenella will probably stay on top until she wins hahahha!
1
Sam
YAY swap!! (Booo bicep-brains!) This is going to stir some stuff up and it has finally knocked Mat off my top spot. Make way for the rise of the mid-field! Sam’s well-liked, good (but not too good) at challenges, and has options with all factions of the dominant Chumpies.
2
Sharn
I have faith that Sharn will be able to manoeuvre any swap situation and Queen will stay Queen.
2
Tegan
Has a very strong opinion at tribal, could be her undoing.
2
Sharn
She’s strong, smart, calm and collected, and sometimes does a mean Gandalf. Plus, I hear there’s an opening for a “cool Mum” type in the termite alliance.
3
Jackie
I think a swap will fair well for Jackie who isn’t at home in her current tribe dynamics. This means she is open to more alliance options, which is exactly what this swap will be serving her on a silver platter.
3
Steve W
His personality is very warming and still manages to have a strong smart exterior.
3
Robbie
Wow. Check out that view from the top, hey Robbie! (That’s a burn, in case you [also] missed that). Robbie’s game naivety and sweet disposition, sheltered nicely by Big Messy Benji, should see him blend in through to the merge.
4
Monika
Valiant, death-defying, inspirational, brave belly flopping Monika, Australia’s newest hero, will be able to handle the dynamic shift of any tribe swap. It’s the outward threats that are in trouble this week and like Jackie, Mons options are wide open, so all she to do is dive in belly first.
4
Heath
F*** knows why, but he deserves to stay in the game hahahah!
4
Mat
People love to cut the metaphorical head off the snake, and I hear this guy hissing all over the island - in Monica’s ear for example. He might disguise it as honourably taking down big old scary Jackie, but Mat has some snake in him. He’s dropped a few places because of the swap, but I think he can dodge the head-choppers for a while yet.
5
Fenella
Okay, my post swap alliance dream right now is Fen, Brian and Sam, can we imagine what a hilarious dynamic these guys would have? Even if it doesn’t happen, I’m still thinking there is sitcom potential here... breakfast radio trio? Look, I told you it’s hard to do rankings this week! I don’t have much else to say.
5
Benji
I think he will get his hands on the idol. Will maybe get Tegan and Heath near the end of the game.
5
Lydia
This queen of biceps should, by rights, be targeted as a huge individual immunity threat. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone in better shape to possibly take on Ziggy in an endurance challenge. But I just don’t see anyone looking at her until it’s very, very late... too late???
6
Brian
Trio name suggestion: S-ian-ella?
6
Lydia
She's got a good crew around her...
6
Fenella
Reaching maximum sass levels and I love it. Shonella have options with everyone on the Tendies tribe and they’re unlikely to be targeted by the Champs unless we see a new testicalliance form.
7
Sam
Other suggestion: Bri-am-ella? #GiveThePeopleWhatTheyWant
7
Shonee
Positioning herself well, can go either way.
7
Shonee
I am low key intimidated by Shonee. This girl would probably tell Brooke and Flick “you can’t sit with us”. I am so here for her taking up that throne as the Tendies most strategic player, but I’m going to have to see her take some scalps first. She’s in a good spot to do it - nobody’s watching her, and Mat etc are more likely to (mistakenly) try to take her under their wing than take her out. Under the wing could be a good spot for an attack but if she’s exposed too soon she could burn her late game.
8
Heath
Heath’s physicality coupled with his gentle giant nature gives him the ability to connect with both the threats and underdogs. This translates into more options for Heath come a tribe swap. I’m hoping Heath is safe but it’s sooo hard to tell!
8
Mat
The blokes an all-rounder... And has an idol.
8
Monika
When you belly-flop three times and still get hero music, you get to climb the ranks a little. Seems like Mat wants to bring her in, but she’ll still hear Jackie’s plans, plus she has potential to get on with the Tendies girls. Sitting literally pretty.
9
Robbie
First Zach, now potentially Benji, what is a bro-less Rob to do? With all the cross-tribe smack talk between Matt and Rob, I imagine Rob won’t be received too well should he be swapped into a tribe where Contenders are in the minority.
9
Sharn
Tribe swap... who knows.
9
Steve W
Zen won’t get you too far in this game, just ask our boy Hen - a little healthy paranoia will get you further.
10
Shane
This is a good opportunity for Shane to offer herself up as a voting number to distract from the fact that she’s a challenge liability. The old gal may have a few tribals left in her yet!
10
Robbie
Wonder how he feels eating after Benji? hahahahha!
10
Brian
I hope that the more devious Contenders will recognise Brian as a crack in the Chumpy armour, but I’m not sure he’s got the game savvy to make this happen himself.
11
Shonee
Shonee looked in trouble this week having watched the ads (giving us our first confirmed Red-to-Blue buff). With not much to go off pre-swap, I will take any clues I can get... However, knowing how misleading editors are, I doubt she will be the one to actually go home this week.
11
Monika
Could get tribe swap screwed.
11
Tegan
Such a fierce scrapper! I liked her gumption going first into the reward, but it looks set to put her and Benji at loggerheads.
12
Mat
It’s times like these in Survivor where being an identified threat really allows the game to come for you. My boy Mat has threat written all over him, which leaves me feeling cautious going into swap week. Also... where is that idol at!? Editors I need to know! My suspicion (going off what I’ve seen from this week’s ad where Mat looks to be in trouble) is that he does in fact still have it, people will come for him after the swap and he will whip it out at tribal in some sort of shock/wow moment... (whip out the idol that is, you filthy minded people).
12
Sam
Not sure he makes merge.
12
Benji
It honestly didn’t even occur to me to be grossed out by Benji’s nacho fiasco - I was just proud of him for being the ONLY player to have done his homework and to have watched the season that was airing AS THEY APPLIED. But why oh why didn’t he hide the plate?! Surely any of them could have divvied up the remaining nachos on the table “to make sure they didn’t eat more than their share” because “fairness” and then chucked the plate? Anyway, telling Shonee (and therefore Shonella) about his millions was a serious blunder - wrong crowd man. It would have been wiser to come clean about his Tegan plotting and then bring Shonee in as his co-plotter for the next attack.
13
Steve W
If my prediction is right with Mat, I would imagine an attack on him would ricochet off his idol play and take out Mat’s right-hand man Steve, should the attackers split the vote (and they should).
13
Brian
Don’t know why, but maybe I can feel his vote out in my bones hahaha!
13
Heath
Does BFG actually stand for Big F’ing (tar)Get? He’s starting to look like a prize head for the wall, as King Lukey would say. I just hope against hope that he did see the clue on the plate and the producers really did trick us with the stirred up napkin. That would be soooo delicious.
14
Lydia
Lydia is probably one of the most complacent strategically in the game, with most of her confessionals being about how she loves island life (blergh). This makes me feel like being the obvious challenge threat that she is, coupled with her seeming disinterest in strategy, Lydia is ill-prepared for what is to come with a tribe swap.
14
Jackie
So unsure, but because she been down the bottom she can stay down the bottom ahhahaha!
14
Jackie
It pains me to have Jackie so low but I just feel like the Chumps are itching to take her out, and with the Tendies so low on numbers, they may latch onto any plan that involves a Chump going home.
15
Tegan
I noticed that the Champions tribe were cheering on Anita in the exile beach face off... this makes me feel like they don’t want Tegan in the game. Obviously, if this is true and my suspicions are correct, if Tegan is swapped into a Contenders minority (which is likely), then she won’t have a whole lot of options to deflect that heat.
15
Shane
Surely there are other people to pick on? But I feel like she is always going to be the easy vote.
15
Shane
I heard whispers of “Shanbo” being a thing. This would be the absolute best! Imagine if Shonella took in Shanbo and used her resentment of the Chumps to turn her into a weapon for them... unfortunately, I just don’t think the Chumps have played enough game (and frankly Mat and Sharn are too lovely as people) for Shane to feel that ostracised. I think it’s more likely she’ll try to pull a move, get caught out and be out on her bum before she can say “five Olympic medals”.
