Survivor: Winners At War Dream Tribe Game Scores (Week 8)

How many points did your Dream Tribe score in Week 8?

Last May, we launched the new edition of the Inside Survivor Dream Tribe Game, where readers picked a team of four castaways they thought would perform well in Survivor: Winners At War. Each episode participants earn points based on how the four castaways in their Dream Tribe perform, with the top three highest point-getters at the end of the season receiving a great prize courtesy of PlanetGearCompany.

All the accepted entries are posted in the spreadsheet below, which will be updated after each episode with the latest scores. We received over 1600 entries! Those who didn’t enter an email address or entered multiple times had their entries disqualified.

Scroll to the right of the sheet and see the overall leader board.

Wow, Natalie was the MOST PICKED and the first voted out… that’s insane. Such a random boot. This proves that nobody saw it coming. And I’m glad this teams were picked before the season started, otherwise spoilers would change that easily…

Are fire tokens being counted as game advantages? If not, they should be. I’m not rooting for her, but considering the edit she’s getting, Natalie should have 80 points. Everyone should’ve started the game with 15 points. I’m not saying points should be deducted from a player’s score when they bequeath a token, because that doesn’t make sense. Losing a token, whether by spending or bequeathing it, means someone’s getting an in-game advantage, so gaining a token, whether in-game or on EOE, should have the same value. Fire tokens are advantages, and nobody’s doing better on that front than Natalie.

    • No, I’m counting an advantage as a power that can be used at Tribal, like an idol, vote steal, legacy advantage, etch. If Natalie uses her tokens to buy an advantage then yes she will gain points for that.

Ok. It just seems like the points won’t reflect who’s playing the best or how favorably each player is being depicted. Jeremy, Rob, Denise, Parvati, & Nick’s score should’ve also gone up when they were bequeathed tokens because tokens are indicative of social standing/jury pull, a sign of someone rooting for a specific player who’s still in the game. Tokens are political capital, which has always been central to success in Survivor. If they were only valuable when spent on advantages, the EOE players wouldn’t get so much positive coverage (screen time, triumphant music, etc). I know you’ve been resistant to EOE, but fire tokens are the new hidden immunity idol.
I don’t mean to sound like I’m complaining. I’m loving this season & this website’s coverage of it. I’m just seeing a disparity between the current point system & players’ actual position in the game. How is EVERYONE who hasn’t been voted out an MVP in Episode 4?

Did you intend to have Sandra listed as winning immunity in this past episode?

  • Joshua Ray

Sandra was mistakenly counted as having immunity in episode 7.
Tyson should be counted as having an advantage with the peanut butter, not to mention the fire token he has. Honestly, if fire tokens aren’t being counted as advantages at this point, I don’t know what show you’re watching. They’re being used as bargaining chips that have huge implications in the game, even when they’re not being redeemed for advantages.

    • Peanut butter is not an advantage. It is food.

As far as the fire tokens, this is the first season they’ve been used. None of us were sure how they’d be implemented or how much of a part they’d play in the season. So I didn’t include any point ranking for the tokens. And I can’t suddenly change that mid-way through the season.

If the next season has fire tokens, then I will add a point ranking for them.

Why is Sandra immune in episode 7?

When I searched earlier, you had Jeremy and Denise as MVPs for the week. Now, Tyson is because he came back from the Edge. Were points for this in place this whole time, and I just missed it?
Here’s what was in effect when we selected teams:
50 points – if one of your Dream Tribe wins the season.
25 points – if one of your Dream Tribe finishes as runner-up.
20 points – for each of your Dream Tribe that make the merge.
15 points – for each of your Dream Tribe that finds/gains an idol.
15 points – for each of your Dream Tribe that finds/gains a game advantage.
10 points – for each of your Dream Tribe that survive a Tribal Council.
10 points – for each of your Dream Tribe that wins immunity or reward (tribal and individual).
5 points – for each of your Dream Tribe that receives more than five confessionals in an episode.

    • Yes, sorry, the points system should have been the same as Season 38, with 20 pts going to the EOE returnee. I accidentally copy and pasted over the points system from Season 39. Apologies for the error!
